KPV

Also known as: Lysine-Proline-Valine, Lys-Pro-Val, alpha-MSH (11-13), α-MSH tripeptide fragment

KPV is a synthetic tripeptide composed of the amino acids lysine, proline, and valine. It corresponds to the C-terminal fragment (residues 11 to 13) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH), a naturally occurring peptide involved in inflammation and immune signaling. KPV is studied as an experimental compound and is not an approved drug.

Often sold in blends: Klow, Tesamorelin / KPV.

How it works

Laboratory research suggests KPV may reduce inflammatory signaling, in part by interfering with pro-inflammatory pathways such as NF-kB activation inside cells. Some studies report that KPV can enter cells through a peptide transporter (PepT1) that is expressed on intestinal and immune cells. These proposed mechanisms come from cell-culture and animal research and have not been confirmed to produce clinical benefit in humans.

Researched uses

  • Studied for intestinal inflammation in animal models of colitis
  • Studied for general anti-inflammatory activity in cell-culture systems
  • Studied for wound-healing and skin inflammation in preclinical research
  • Studied for antimicrobial activity against certain bacteria and fungi in laboratory settings
Regulatory status

KPV is not approved by the FDA for any medical use. It has not completed clinical trials establishing safety or efficacy in humans and is considered investigational. It is not an established compounded medication. Products sold online as KPV, including those labeled "for research use only," are not regulated as medicines, and their identity, purity, and content are not verified within the licensed pharmacy system.

KPV providers compared

Providers that have passed our rubric review are listed first, then ordered by the total cost of a 3-month protocol. We average every cost to a standard 3-month protocol, which our medical advisors consider the best basis for comparing cost and value, and the headline figure folds in any one-time consult or provider-review fee plus three months of membership. Use the calculator below to adjust the length and see the same total broken out.

No provider in this directory currently lists a published price for this drug.

We average every cost to a standard 3-month protocol, which our medical advisors consider the best window for comparing cost and value. Monthly plans are multiplied by 3 and 3-month programs are taken as billed; each provider's own sticker price and cadence are shown underneath.

The headline figure is the total 3-month cost: the medication plus any one-time consult or provider-review fee (for example RxPepsDirect's $39) and three months of any membership fee. Where a fee is not published we fold in what is known and flag that other fees may apply.

Per-vial providers are averaged to a 3-month protocol at roughly one vial per month (3 vials), marked "est.", with the per-vial price shown underneath. Actual vial count depends on your dose and protocol.

Prices are gathered from each provider's public pages. The "Verified" date is when we last checked the provider's sticker price; for per-vial providers it is the vial price that was verified, not the averaged 3-month total.

Safety notes

Because KPV has not been formally tested in controlled human clinical trials, its safety profile in people is not well characterized, and long-term effects are unknown. Preclinical studies have generally reported low toxicity in animal and cell models, but these findings do not establish human safety. Product quality, dose accuracy, sterility, and identity cannot be assured for material obtained outside the licensed pharmacy system, which introduces additional risk of contamination or mislabeling.

KPV questions

How much does KPV cost?

No licensed provider in this directory currently publishes a price for KPV. This page will list verified prices with their sources if that changes.

Is KPV an approved medication?

No. KPV is an investigational compound. It has not been approved by the FDA and has not completed the clinical trials that would be needed to establish its safety or effectiveness in humans.

How is KPV typically administered in research?

In published studies KPV has been evaluated by various routes, including oral, topical, and injectable forms, depending on the model. This describes how it has been used in research settings and is not a recommendation or instruction for use.

Is KPV available to buy, and what does that mean for quality?

KPV is often sold online as a research chemical. Products offered this way sit outside the regulated pharmacy system, so their purity, identity, and content are not independently verified. General cost and availability vary by source and are not a measure of quality or safety.
